The Legislature has a fever, and the only prescription is an advisory opinion.  Thankfully, the Massachusetts Constitution obliges.

Just yesterday it seemed that my colleague Professor Cunningham, was ready to jump on the Charlie Baker bandwagon to help make the Republican Party competitive at the national level.

Little did Mo know that the Governor was guilty of “traitorous behavior.”

If only Barack Obama had the skill and political savvy of Lyndon Johnson, he would have ushered in a new era of liberal dominance.  Throw in some schmoozing with the leaders of the opposition, and we’d be chiseling his face into Mount Rushmore by now.

At least that’s what the old LBJ hands would have us believe.

They’re wrong because of what they ignore.

It is T time for the new Governor.

The latest effort to criminalize politics comes from the Cape.

Last month I suggested Charlie Baker’s path from defeat to the Corner Office might be a model for Mitt Romney’s third run for the White House.

Today I’d like to suggest another path that the former Governor should seriously consider.  That’s the one taken by John Kerry.

Later today Governor Deval Patrick will take the final “lone walk” out of office. When did this uniquely Massachusetts tradition begin? Until recently, it was widely believed to be the invention of a politically lonely Benjamin Butler in 1884.

For many years during the Christmas season my wife and I have moved a whimsical elf, a scout for Santa, around our home while the kids slept.  Fun and harmless you might think.

Think again.

Among the many reasons former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney had to smile on election night 2014 was the ascension of Charlie Baker to Romney’s former office.  Those most interested in another Romney run will want to model Baker’s path from defeat to renomination to victory.

There is much to admire in the skill of David Axelrod.  But on the issue of Martha Coakley and the 2014 Massachusetts gubernatorial election, the Axe misses the mark.
