It's one of the burning questions in Massachusetts politics today: given Governor Charlie Baker's boffo public image, is there a Democrat out there who could make him break a sweat when he seeks re-election in 2018?

It's easy to be skeptical. But legendary Democratic strategist John Walsh and UMass Boston political science chair Erin O'Brien both insist it can be done.
