Here's a prediction: 50 years from now, Deval Patrick's political career will be the stuff of Massachusetts legend.
When Patrick entered the political fray in 2005, almost no one took him seriously. But thanks to a series of smart hires, an enthusiastic embrace of grassroots organizing, and native political charisma, Patrick surged to victory in 2006. Then, in 2010, he did it again, defeating Republican Charlie Baker in another race he wasn't supposed to win.
As Patrick takes the fabled "Lone Walk" from the Corner Office back into civilian life, we sized up the high and low points of his eight years in office. And we speculate--but just a bit!-- about what his future may hold. We also talk new Governor Charlie Baker's taste in music, and hear some political resolutions for 2015 from our loyal listeners.
